The Myristicaceae: nutmeg ecology and evolution in the tropics
A special issue of Tropical Conservation Science
TCS will be publishing a special issue in December 2011 of articles on one taxonomic family, the common tropical trees the Myristicaceae, or nutmeg family. This will be an exciting volume, drawing together for the first time up-to-date information on the entire family, in a variety of contexts, from taxonomy and systematics to frugivory and dispersal.
Guest editors: Simon A. Queenborough, Kimberly Holbrook, Sabrina Russo, Pierre-Michel Forget
MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 1 JUNE 2011
PUBLICATION OF SPECIAL ISSUE: DECEMBER 2011
We ask that authors submit manuscripts before 1 June 2011 so that all manuscripts have enough time to be peer-reviewed and any changes made. Because it is unfair to authors who keep to the schedule, we reserve the right to reject any manuscripts that are not submitted by this deadline. You are of course, encouraged to submit manuscripts well before this deadline, and we will make the peer-review process as fast as possible. I will send out regular reminder emails!
All submissions will follow standard TCS policy and are expected to meet standards of academic excellence. They will be looked at first by the TCS Guest Editors. They will then be sent out for peer-review, and we ask that authors of papers in the special issue also be open to review other submissions. Reviewers will be anonymous and will be contacted by TCS editorial office.
To submit a manuscript, please send it to the guest editors: nutmeg.tcs 'at' gmail.com.
We will forward manuscripts for peer-review to TCS.
Details of manuscript preparation etc can be found here.
